What is haptics?

Haptics, by the definition of itself, refers to the haptic sense of the touch and is an advanced technology that adds the tactile feedback right to the electronic devices through the use of vibrations. This touch-based technology has become more and more popular in handheld, portable and touch-screen enabled to the consumer, industrial and automotive electronic devices. The vibrations produced to provide a new, deeply enhanced user experience.

The tiny vibration motors used in mobile terminals, game machines, etc. Small and high efficiency types are provided. The eccentric rotating mass (ERM) motor and linear resonant actuator (LRA) are two of the most common types of haptic feedback actuators used in the market today. Our technology improves the haptics devices experience by actually improving the performance of these haptic actuators. While most smartphone and tablet users already have experienced haptic controllers, the term itself is mostly unknown to consumers. In its basic definition, “haptics” refers to the science of tactile feedback. The most basic form of haptics is when a cell phone vibrates, indicating either an incoming call or the arrival of a message in the phone’s inbox. It is an efficiency way to give an alert to the operators of the special event. In these cases, the user’s attention is grabbed by a vibration alerting.

About one-third of smartphones include tactile feedback that extends beyond a vibration alert. A common example is the subtle vibrations a user feels when typing an email or texting. Each vibration confirms that a keystroke has registered. Users tend to commit fewer typing errors and have a more satisfactory experience when tactile feedback exists.

So, if you want to make something haptic controls in your latest product, we are the best choice for lra haptic. NFP-motor is the leading supplier of ˜60 mm vibrating motors. We own the widest range of vibration motors in stock.

Our company is different than other companies because we focus on new product design and the development. So we expect no minimum order quantity for stocked parts, and only a low minimum order quantity for most vibration motor customisations, such as custom lead lengths and the adding of certain connectors. We are also unique in our experience and competence using and building vibration motors into an application or product. If you’re short of time, or don’t care to become an expert in vibration generation, or vibration / tactile / haptic feedback, please call or email us. We’re here to help!
